oh henry

so Henry went to his new home tonight.... i'm going to miss the little hurricane, but i'm sure he'll adjust quickly and be just fine...I just worry that Stella will develop a depression.. i'll have to keep a close eye on her and spoil her a little with lots of attention and exercise.

in other news, i came out to my car this morning for break (i was at work) and found my left rear tire almost deflated... so i took it to canadian tire to get fixed, and picked it up after work.

they fixed it for free, so that's cool.

other than that, not much to report!

inauguration day!!

I just finished working nights but i'm staying up to watch Barack Obama's inauguration speech.. i know i'm not american but i can't help but think this is important for me too...

organizing

I bought a new wardrobe from canadian tire to house all my clothes. it was a bitch to carry up three flights of stairs and put together all by myself but now my room is organized and everything is put away. i still had a bunch of bins that were piled up in my room because i have no place to put everything but now that my clothes are out of my closet, all my bins fit nicely in there..... minus hunter's toy box and a bin i use for winter necessities....

my room is now a place i can use to relax instead of just sleeping and getting dressed.

i always feel good after a good day of cleaning and organizing. i hate when my place gets untidy... i'm a bit anal about that.

so now everything is clean and put away and i feel great.

now if i can only find someone to do my groceries and cook for me... i'd be friggin set!

back on the net

Finally!! after 9 months i'm finally back on the internet. it's been hard trying to post from my blackberry, and now i can upload pics too.

only downside is now i can picture laundry and dishes and other household chores falling by the wayside now that i'm reconnected to the world wide web.

meh, whatever.

i'm working like crazy inbetween visits with Ross. I find i'm really missing him while i'm in kingston but i've been through long distance relationships before and the time we have together seems more special than if we saw each other all the time.

mind you, we won't be able to function like this forever, but it's only been five months, and we're both realistic and not planning on rushing into anything.

wow, can i ever type fast on the computer vs. the crackberry.

how productive!

jess and ryan and my parents all got to meet ross last weekend, and ross really enjoyed meeting everyone. no feedback yet from jess or my dad, but i'm sure they'll weigh in eventually.

i was so happy to see matty again, i wish we all lived closer... it's reminiscent of when i was living in kitchener and didn't get to see my nephew hunter whenever i wanted. miss the little monkey like crazy!!

i caught ross coming out of the bathroom on the weekend and needless to say he wasn't prepared to have his pic taken



anyhow, i should get my ass up off this chair and get some laundry done before work.

the home stretch

Well my Christmas shopping is complete, everything is wrapped and I got my car fixed... Now all I have to do is survive the next four days at work and I'm off for 5 days over Christmas.

I guess leaving things to the last minute forced me to be productive and I feel much better now that everything is done.

I went to bed very early last night, around 930 and I woke up this morning around 630.

I took Stella out to play in the mountains of snow which she absolutely loves. She hops around like a bunny and shoves her face in the snowbanks. Its pretty funny to watch.

Henry has taken to rushing out the door behind me and tearing up the hall.. Luckily I don't have to chase him because after he realizes I'm just standing at the door waiting he starts to meow and runs back to me. For such a fearless independent guy, he's a bit of a momma's boy.

He learned about the water bottle pretty quick as well so now when he's misbehaving' all I have to do is call his name and pick up the bottle and he's off hiding.

Now if I could only get Henry and Stella to pick up their multitude of toys, I'd be all set.

Christmas

Still not feeling the Christmas spirit! Haha, I still have shopping to do for a few people and I am definitely feeling the squeeze on my wallet... Dad's gift cost more than I anticipated, but he deserves to be spoiled for once especially with all the stuff he's been going through with Debbie. I got him a kickass surround sound system. Debbie helped out a bit and my brother and sister are supposed to contribute as well but I won't hold my breath... I'll end up paying for more than half as usual.

Bah humbug! The only thing I want for Christmas is decent weather so I can make it to see Ross on boxing day.

I'm working nights again and should start getting ready, at least I know I'm working with some great people tonight who won't sleep all night and leave all the work for others...

I'm in a funk and hopefully I snap out of it after Christmas!

I'm a total slacker!

I've not been updating my blogger.. Slacker extraordinair. Things are going great with Ross, and work hasn't slowed down at all thanks to a couple of full-timers who are off on modified right now.

I'm off for Christmas this year, but not really in the spirit for it. No Christmas decorations in my apartment.. Not much sense since I'm sure Stella and my new kitten Henry would probably knock down anything I put up anyhow.

I think more so the reason I'm not in the Christmas spirit is due to the fact that I live alone, and will be travelling to my dad's and ross' to celebrate. I'm sure I'd be more into it if I had my own little family here. Who knows, I've always been more partial to Halloween...

Ross and I have been talking about him possibly moving here to kingston next year, and it's looking like it may happen. I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best!

Anyhow, I'll wrap this up and try my best to keep updating. I know I've said it a million times before, but this time I mean it.
