Trying to get in the mood to clean...

so far, not much luck. so i'm wasting time on twitter and attempting to update my blog and not be in a shitty mood.

i'm also going crazy because i'm trying to grow my hair out.... ordered some hair products from carol's daughter online.. maybe it will help my dried out curls and i won't have to use gel anymore! if it can nourish a black woman's hair, maybe i'll have some luck with it.

my bangs now touch my nose, and i don't have anymore spikes.... bring on the afro! we'll see how long i can hold out.

other than that, i have the day off, and i'm back on evenings tomorrow through to monday.

been on the go for the last couple of weeks. many trips to see ross, and we had my nephew last weekend while ross and isaiah were down for a visit.

just got back from ottawa this morning and now i'm on a stretch of evenings until monday....

not sure if it's the weather or if i'm pms'ing... but i'm pretty down the last couple of days.

hopefully i cheer the fuck up before i can't stand being around myself.

oh, best comeback of the week:

old hag to me: "with a dog that big, you BETTER have it on a leash!"

me to old hag: "ya? and with a mouth that big, you should wear a MUZZLE!"

ignorant bitch. she's lucky i didn't bite her.

It's been a few days since adopting Gracie, and so far so good. Stella and Gracie have been getting along, no accidents, no chewing... thumbs up in my book.

They came with me yesterday to see my Dad and his dog Max and everyone got along. I'm not letting Gracie off the leash yet, because beagles are known for running, and until I can trust her like i trust Stella, she's leashbound.

I worked a 12 hour day on saturday and heard from my superintendent that they were well behaved and quiet. Of course i came home at lunch to let them out, and I'll be anxious to see how they do tonight when i work 3-11, and can't come home to let them out for a pee break.

I guess i'll be worried about them for the first little while, but for now, they seem to be adjusting well.

Easter weekend is coming up and i'll be leaving for Ottawa to spend it with Ross probably thursday. dad already said he didn't have any plans for making supper so i won't feel guilty running off and not spending the weekend with him and debbie.

anyhow, time to get ready for work. the rain has let off for a little while, so i better use the time wisely and take the dogs for a little jaunt.

its official!

i talked to the humane society today and my application for adoption was approved, i'm taking stella to meet the new pup tomorrow and will bring her home after that as long as the dogs get along!

and i'm changing the new pup's name to gracie...

pics tomorrow once i bring her home.
i am in one of the most fed up and hostile moods i've ever been in....

so quick heed of warning... if you've nothing good to say to me, i advise you not to say it at all.

i'm getting very ready to cut a lot of ties that are negative and self serving. don't pretend to be a friend if you have nothing supportive to say to me, and if you're only looking for ways to look down your nose.

i won't put up with it.

i might be a momma again soon. i've been thinking for a long time now about getting another pet... i got henry the cat, but as we all know, ross was terribly allergic..

so i've been looking at dogs for the past four months.

this must be what it feels like for women who've had a baby, for awhile they're satiated with one, but then they get that little pull in their heart like they need just one more... or two more, whatever it turns out to be.

well that's what i'm having.. heart pulls.

it doesn't help that i've been looking at shelter dogs too, because i just want them all. if i had a big yard and a big house, i'd probably have 20.

ross thinks i'm crazy, and i'm sure a lot of other people do to.

but i never cared what other people think in the past and i'm sure as hell not interested in what they have to say now.

so i've filled out an application for adoption for a little female beagle named luna. i'm not crazy about the name but luna and i clicked from the beginning. she is a little beagle who was surrendered from a family that actually brought in two dogs.. the other dog has since been adopted and there luna sits. she is timid and quiet and quite the cuddler. quite the opposite from the impressions i'd always had about beagles. she is not high strung and hyper, she was not barking at all even though all the other dogs in the pound were barking up a storm and she walked over to me and nuzzled into me and that was that.

so hoping all the paperwork goes through and i get accepted. then stella and i will go for a "meet and greet" to make sure the two dogs get along, which i'm sure they will. stella can be a bit possessive over her toys, but usually only around a more dominant dog. luna seems to be very docile and submissive.... just how i like it. easier to train a naturally submissive dog than a dominant one.

i don't have any pictures of her because i didn't want to take a bunch and get my hopes up before i found out she had been adopted by someone else...

better just to be optimistic and see what happens.

i'm trying to think of another name i could call her that would suit her better than luna... when i hear that name i automatically think "lunatic"

she's a pretty little thing, probably around 15-20lbs, white and brown, with the saddest little puppy dog eyes i've ever seen. she's quiet and docile and very very cuddly....

any suggestions? and "bella" is out of the question... too confusing for both dogs if they're names rhyme... my sister and i hate having rhyming names so i wouldn't do the same to dogs.

crossing my fingers!
