My little brother turned 26 on thursday, and my nephew hunter is now 7 today.
we had a little get together at dad's on saturday and were going to go to the zoo but it ended up raining.
the family all went on sunday and had a great time, but unfortunately i had to work.
money in the bank.
still no word about the new job... waiting for an interview. wish they would hurry the hell up!
looking forward to the weekend with ross. it will be just the two of us, and we'll probably end up going to almont to sight see and maybe to a movie.
as for me, i've cleaned my place from top to bottom, still have some laundry to do, but gonna take stella to the vet to get her booster. then no more vet bills for a year!!! yay!!!

i know, i know!
slacker extraordinaire strikes again.
i've been busy the last month. working, visiting ross and a trip to ajax to see jess and matty.
i've applied for a new full time job at the psych hospital here in kingston. still waiting for an interview, picking up shifts in the meantime to try and make some extra cash....
always comes down to cash. not enough of it.
gracie is doing better with housetraining and behaviour training. she no longer jumps up on my bed or the couch... she goes into her crate all by herself if she wants a nice, comfortable place to sleep. stella and her are getting along great, more and more playful and cuddly everyday.
i'm picking up hunter tonight for a sleepover, and tomorrow we're going to the zoo in toronto with the whole family. my brothers birthday was yesterday, father's day is sunday and hunter's birthday is on tuesday... so it's kind of a family day to celebrate everyone.
my sister graduates on wednesday from her psw program, and i'll be taking debbie with me to celebrate.
basically it's a happy time, short of being on a very tight budget.... wish the gas prices didn't jump so high right now.
anyhow, better go do my dishes and have a shower before heading to belleville to pick up my nephew.

"dude you update less than i do"
words from gish, encouraging me to blah blah blah... even though she texts me at ungodly hours and i talk to her almost everyday...
well to be fair, i do that to people too.
i'm sitting at my desk at the bright and early hour of 0830, hgtv is on in the background, i have my coffee and cigarette and the dogs have been out.
day off.
i'm feeling guilty about not going to see dad and debbie as frequent as i did when she was in the hospital. i always feel selfish for some reason when i have time off and plan to do nothing with it.
i do the regular mundane chores around the house, which make me feel productive. sometimes i just walk the dogs or read a book and feel completely satiated. i like my alone time.
i especially like mornings like this when the sky is overcast and there is a smell of imminent rain.. that's when i like sitting in my comfy chair sipping coffee the best. my living room is really cozy and gives me a feeling of home. it's comforting.
i spent the weekend with ross in ottawa. it rained on saturday but we ventured downtown to a few comic book shops, and even attempted the rideau centre... both ross and i get agitated around crowds, so once i found out that sephora didn't carry my now favourite thing (carol's daughter - hair milk) we left.
i urged ross to go to ikea so we could get him a bistro table and chairs for his balcony and he reluctantly agreed... again, crowds aplenty. we found what we wanted quickly and he even bought a glass display for his living room and returned home.
sunday was cool, but no rain so we went to the dog park. the girls had a great time as always and so did we. i love taking them out on the trails... no matter what city i'm in, i don't think i would grow tired of either places.
monday i spent the day playing wii while ross worked, and then he took me out to dinner.
tuesday i worked, and now i sit here blah blah blah'ing
so that sums up my week pretty well.

i'm being hassled to update. so here goes...
not much to say!! surprise surprise... with facebook and text messaging blogging seems to be passe. it's not as fun as it used to be when i only talked to people occasionally and had fun and exciting stuff to write about. i've fallen into a pretty mundane routine.. not that i don't enjoy it, i truly do. i love nothing better than curling up and reading a book or taking the dogs for a walk, just not sure i want to write about it all the time.
not many hours at work right now, hopefully things start to pick up.
i am excited about an upcoming camping trip with ross's family in june. his parents have a hunting camp aka: bare essentials to survive the wilderness in trois rivieres quebec. we're all going up mid june for a weekend. his parents keep telling me "its nothing much" but i've never been the high maintenance kind of girl, so i can deal with squatting in the bush, and not bathing for two days.... that's what baby wipes were invented for!
i'll be going for another long walk with the dogs today on the new trails we've found. we went for another 2 hour jaunt yesterday and the dogs are eating it up. stella especially since she can roam around off leash. gracie isn't so lucky because she takes off like a bat out of hell and doesn't come back. she's done this to me twice and i'll be damned if there'll be a third time.
so other than laundry and getting a few food items at the grocery store, my two days off will probably consist of me reading, playing scrabble on facebook and updating my twitter...
